Steve Foster Archive

PROCEED TO THE STEVE FOSTER ARCHIVE -->

I have created the linked pages above through great difficulty. Several years ago I came to know a master of PC modifications named Steve Foster. I have no problem calling Steve a "pioneer" in PC modding -actually I'd rather call him a "master" of the craft. His massive rig was modified with everything from Peltier elements to full-on vapor cycle refrigeration units and home-made power supplies. Sadly, his site has been down for at least a year and I haven't been able to contact him in any way I'm aware of at this moment. There are still articles he's written out there on the web and I'll do my best to collect the complete listing of them below (any I'm missing please let me know of and I'll add them as well). The web pages that follow are his. The only work I have done on them is to clean up the HTML code behind the scenes and arrange the pages in a fairly simple way. Most of the links that point to other sites are no longer active. I will give credit to several sources for the recovery of these images and information as follows:

The Internet Archive - "Way Back Machine"
I used this site to do most of the work in recovering the pages. It's actually a pretty cool place to go (when you can remember a good URL to enter). Steve Foster's old website URL was: http://www.wizard.com/~scfoster/ so all I needed to do was enter the URL and download the code and images (although that's not as easy as it sounds). In some cases, the images have been lost in the database and I have labeled them in the pages I've created as such. --If any of you know where I can find these I'd appreciate completing this recovery effort.

Here are links to some of his remaining articles on the web:
